This is a study for a larger work, of a trigger fish its upper dorsal fin has a spike that has a simular bio mechanical function to a tigger in a gun that locks when needed for defence or to help it hold on to rocks in the current.

It is also easily triggered to defend its territory,

Mainly while working on this I thought about the final journey of this fish its fear being pulled to the light, breaking the surface unable to breath but bathed in light, and about my own experience with death.
